Who is Wanda James

Beyond being the first black woman to ever own a dispensary, Wanda is a political campaigner, activist and a former U.S. Navy Lieutenant.  She was a part of the Amendment 64 task force work group, which helped end the cannabis prohibition in Colorado.

Wanda Fights for Justice

As a veteran, she advocates for other veterans, and those struggling with PTSD to have access to cannabis. A part of her passion comes from her brother’s story, “For $60 worth of cannabis, my brother spent the next ten years in the prison system.  And four of those years he spent in a maximum security privatized prison system where he was forced to pick cotton everyday.”

Wanda Speaks Out

Wanda isn’t afraid to speak out against the over-policing of black communities and the disproportionate number of black people incarcerated for cannabis.  a role model to all in the industry, stating that her success is linked to, “Drive, purpose and authenticity.”
